Welcome to the Westfield Horticultural Society website. We are a local Horticultural Society based in Westfield, East Sussex, and affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society. We have members from Westfield as well as the surrounding towns and villages including Hastings, Battle, Guestling, Three Oaks, Brede and Sedlescombe. All are welcome!
Our aim is to encourage and inspire people to enjoy all things horticultural, be it with flowers, vegetables, fruit etc, by holding events, Shows, guest speakers, and classes on flower arranging and related crafts.
On our website you will find details of Shows, Events, Talks and Competitions that we arrange throughout the year.
Our website is also a resource where you can download our current year Show Schedule and Handbook. You will find Hints and Tips about ‘What to do in the Garden’ and suggestions for making your show exhibits that little bit better.
We welcome suggestions and questions to help improve your Society, so please feel free to contact us.
Our Shows
We have two Shows each year, one in April and one in September. There are many classes to choose from including Horticultural, Flowers, Home Produce, Arts and Crafts, Photograph, and entries are welcomed from all age groups. EVENTS
We try and vary our events to please all our members, and put them on at a variety of week days and weekends. We have our Spring and Autumn Shows, quizzes, talks, and day trips to various gardens, including the lovely RHS Wisley. Follow the 'Events' link for details on what's available this year.
